Obituary

Terrance E. "Terry" O'Haver, of Washington, Indiana, went to his eternal rest with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Terry was born on April 10, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married the love of his life, Ethna (Coyle) O'Haver on May 26, 1964. They spent 62 wonderful years together, and were blessed with five children and eight grandchildren. Terry proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War veteran. His service was a source of deep pride and honor throughout his life. He and Ethna devoted many years to managing the St. Vincent de Paul Store and Charity, a ministry that meant a great deal to him. Through this work, he lived out his compassion for others and quietly touched countless lives in the community. In recognition of his dedicated service to the Church, Terry was honored by the Diocese of Evansville with the Bruté Award, a distinction that reflected his unwavering faith and commitment to helping those in need. Terry leaves behind his devoted wife, Ethna O'Haver; his children, Gerald (Kathy) O'Haver of Odon; Patrick (Debbie) O'Haver, Phillip (Laura) O'Haver, and Kathleen (Randy) Decker, all of Washington; and his cherished grandchildren, Keith O'Haver, Abby O'Haver, Liam O'Haver, Kristen O'Haver, Jolynn (Marcus) Slaven, Madison Decker, Bradley Decker, and Ally Decker; and one step-grandchild, Susie Hatton.
