Obituary

Carol J. (May) Rediger, 92, passed away at her Prairie Village residence in Washington, April 2, 2023. She was born in Washington on August 1, 1930, to Roy and Mable Irene (McCrary) May. She was married to Gerald Rediger and he preceded her in death.

Carol was a high school graduate and a homemaker.

Those who now mourn Carol's passing include her children: Steven Rediger of Mesa, Arizona, and Phyllis Church of Evansville; grandchildren: Joseph Rediger, Michelle Hanke, and Brian Hanke. Coming from a large family, she leaves four siblings: Asil May; Naomi Thomas; Nina Way all of Washington; and Vera (Frank) Rogowski in Florida.

During her life, Carol grieved the loss of her parents, Roy and Mable May; her husband, Gerald Rediger; her daughter, Lyn Iva Church; brothers: Leon May, Phillip May, Laverne May, and Dudley May; sisters: Frieda Arthur, Rosemary Fidler, Juanita House, Virginia Robinson, and a sister who died in infancy.

Graveside services for Carol J. Rediger will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Ebenezer Cemetery, Washington.
