CandleTo the family: I knew Shirley as a tremendous woman of faith in her work. Shirley was the hallmark of a Christian because she took time to help those folks who had less than nothing. She worked the finances so people stayed safe and received care they needed. She never judged nor slighted folks based on name or income. She worked late and she worked overtime to help folks in need. She missed family events so strangers had a home at WNC. Her dedication was only exceeded by her kindness. I shall miss her smile leaving church, but I know she enjoys a heavenly reward for work well done on earth.

CandleSending love and prayers to all! Shirley was a friend and neighbor for many years. We were Blessed to have them in our life. Love watching the boys grow up. What wonderful parents they have been to those boys. Family was everything to her. She will be missed by so many.

I'm so sorry to hear of Shirley passing! I worked with Shirley at WNC for many years. She was such a sweet lady and defiantly knew her stuff when it came to Medicare and Medicaid. I will miss seeing her smiling face in church and talking with her! RIP Shirley!
