Obituary
Edwin Scott Raney age 96 of Washington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Hillside Manor Nursing Home.
Edwin was born on June 16, 1924 in Sterling, IL to Earnest Leo and Emma (Scott) Raney. He graduated from Washington High School in 1942. He is a U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He retired from Indiana Bell. Edwin was a member of Central Christian Church.
He is survived by two sons Edwin Scott (Jessica) Walls of Washington and Thomas (Joan) Raney of Boones Mill, Va.; daughter Mary Raney (Mike) Seegel of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren Scotty, Hunter and Evan Walls, Mike Seegel Jr., Patti Bradley, Kate Murray and Anna Raney; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Edwin is preceded in death by his parents; son Edwin “Leo” Raney and two sisters.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Bethany Cemetery with Reverend Dan Sherer officiating.
