Obituary
Ernestine Palmer, age 91, of Washington passed away at 7:15 PM on Thursday at Hillside Manor Nursing Home. She was born on April 20, 1919 in Montgomery to Martin and Cisley (Kelly) Doyle. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1937 and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters and sons in-law, Ellen Jane and Morris Lee, and Patricia and William Joyce all of Washington, and Mary Sue and Jack Shulin of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons and daughters in-law, Thomas James and Rita Palmer, and Michael Joseph and Judy Palmer all of Atlanta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, Gerald Lee, David Palmer, Roger Palmer, William Joyce, Jeffery Joyce, Twila Gonzales, Rebecca Palmer, Eric Palmer, John Shulin, Russell Shulin, Randall Shulin, and Cindy Thompson; fourteen great grandchildren, Josh Lee, Alex Lee, Maggie Lee, Tiffany Flick, Nicholas Palmer, Leah Palmer, Ryan Palmer, Shelly Palmer, Brad PJoyce, Adam Joyce, Emily Joyce, David Joyce, Paxton Thompson, and Reece Thompson; and three great great Grandchildren, Rylin Flick, Daylon Flick, and Keenan Flick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Palmer on January 20, 1998, whom she married on February 3, 1940. She also was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michele Lee and Cheryl Lynne (Lee) Charles; four brothers; and three sisters. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with a wake service at 4 PM. Memorial donations may be given to Washington Catholic Education Endowment P. O.
