Obituary
Larry Dean Wolven, age 55, of Washington, passed away at his home at 4:43 PM on Thursday, after a prolonged illness, with his family at his bedside. He was born on April 8, 1956 in Washington to Donald and Phyllis (Troutman) Wolven. He was a 1974 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and had worked a Johnson Controls in Vincennes for several years before they closed. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, and coaching Little League Baseball, which he did for more than twenty years. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church. He is survived by, three daughters, Jackie Archer (Steve Overton) of Washington, and Tonya (Daniel) Byrd and Denise Woodall both of North Carolina; one son, Derek Archer of Terre Haute; his mother, Phyllis Wolven of Washington; four grandchildren, Gage Overton, Zack Byrd, Brock Overton, Madison Byrd; two great grandchildren, Alexis Williams and Hailey Overton; one sister Debbie (Steve) Neukam of Washington; two brothers, Gary (Judy) Wolven and David (Sandy) Wolven both of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wolven on February 3, 1993 and his grandparents, Fred and Mary Troutman, Charles Wolven and Esta Goodpaster. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Ron Barnes officiating. Burial will follow services in Antioch Cemetery.
