Marilyn Diane Nichols, 66, of Plainville, died at 11 p.m. Monday at the Bloomington Hospital. Born May 5, 1943 in Washington, she was the daughter of Harland and Virginia (Sears) Osmon. She was a 1961 graduate of Plainville High School and a homemaker who was known for her cooking, sewing, and quilting accomplishments. She was a lady of many talents and operated Marilyn's Beauty Shop in Plainville for many years. Surviving is her husband, Robert Lee Nichols, whom she married December 9, 1961; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gina Stoll of Plainville, and Diana and Ben Harkness of Odon; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Joan Osmon of Odon; three granddaughters, Audrey (Caleb) Bullock of Clarksville, TN, Kristen Stoll of Plainville, and Chelsea Harkness of Odon; a grandson Drew Harkness of Odon; a brother-in-law Joe Nichols of Bicknell; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Underwood of Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Bob Stoll. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Parkview Christian Church in Plainville. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Research.
