On Sunday, January 23, 2011, a part of our family left us and our hearts are still heavy and eyes fill with tears at the mention of his name, hear a certain song that reminds me of my brother, or a memory of our childhood years just pops into mind. Steve and I had a wonderful childhood with loving, caring and understanding parents. So many good times fill my mind and heart but the hurt is still there. He was always there for the other person, ready to help and I think that is why he chose the profession he was in, working and caring for people. Never met a stranger, just like our Grandpa Churchill and could make you laugh with some kind of crazy antic. We will always wonder why Steve was taken before he had lived his life to the fullest but only God has the answer to that. Those wonderful memories with our cousins, Mike, Larry, Becky, Cindy and our Aunts, Freida and Doris and the rest of our cousin, and Aunts and Uncles will always be engraved in the middle of our hearts forever. For all the prayers sent to Heaven for him when he was sick and the ones from friends and loved ones the past few days to give us strength and courage to go on we say a very special "Thank You". Steve, you are and were loved by all of us and in our hearts forever. Now we will go forward with our lives but a piece of us is missing and only time, prayers and grace of God will help us mend and ease the pain of the "piece" of our family that is gone. Love you Steve
Please accept my deepest sympathy. Steve was a great guy and I will always remember the good times we had working at the drive in movie many years ago. Give me a call when you are up to it. Would love to see you. Marilyn 257-1971.
With sincere sympathy. An old friend, Wilma Shelton
