Roscoe C. Richard, age 90, of Washington, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 7:35 am at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was born on January 28, 1927 in Washington to Frank C and Helen (Scott) Richard. He had attended Jefferson High School and Washington High School. He had worked as a farmhand and laborer. He had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and The Washington Boat Club. He is survived by one son, Frank E. (Joy) Richard of Washington; one daughter, Sharon M. (Richard) Fitzgerald of Washington; sister, Carolyn Sue Watkins of Rockville; brother, Carroll Eugene Richard of Kokomo; five grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; and two great greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Lents) Richard on December 24, 2016 whom he married on September 26, 1946; he was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patty Ann Sullivan; Betty Brady, Thelma Decker; brother, William Richard; infant brother, Frank Richard Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
