Obituary
Jeana Litwiler, age 72, of Cumberland, passed away at 5:16 pm on Saturday at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was a Graduate of Charlottesville High School in Charlottesville, Indiana. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She loved spending time with her family and tending to her flower, especially her rose bush. She had worked as a secretary for Christian Church Disciples of Christ and for the YMCA Child Day Care as a caregiver for the babies and toddlers were she was most fondly known as Nana. She is survived by her husband, Gene Litwiler; one daughter and son in-law, Anissa and Steve Day of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, McKenzie Litwiler, Brandon Litwiler, and Julia Litwiler; one brother Russell White of Greenfield. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jan Michael Litwiler on September 24, 1987 and Shawn Alan Litwiler on March 21, 2005; her foster parents, Bob and Evelyn Truitt; three sisters, Mary Tuttrow, Sara Roland, and Verdie Nugent; and three brothers, Charles Lineback, Junior Young and Jimmy Young. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, in Washington, In., with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington.
