Obituary
Paul O. Ebler, age 85, of Washington, passed away at 9:15 AM on Saturday at Golden Living Center in Petersburg. He was born on July 25 1925 in Washington to Gus and Birdie (Trowbridge) Ebler. He was a sergeant in the US Army and a veteran of World War II earning the bronze star. He was a long time member of the Washington Saddle Club, VFW and Moose Lodge. He worked at McDonalds Chevrolet for many years, the Light Plant in Washington and was a retired truck driver. He was the owner of several race horses and an avid horse lover. He is survived by one daughter, Maribeth (Tim) Donaldson of Evansville; three sons, David Ebler of Florida, Dane (Iva) Ebler of Washington, and Dan (Sabrina) Ebler of Seymour; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Ebler and Harold Ebler; seven sisters, Lillian Lewis, Pauline Hayes, Eva Ebler, Maude Mattingly, Esther Haag, Joyce Nash, and Virginia Dant. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 AM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Mrs. Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
