Obituary

In Loving memory of Russell James Coleman of Appling, Ga. took his final trip home to his maker on July 13, 2011. Russell was born to Robert and Judy Coleman (Mize) on January 12, 1959 and raised in Washington, Indiana. Russell was an ARMY veteran who proudly served his country for three years and received an honorary discharge. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Deanna (Merideth) Coleman, whom he married on April 7, 2005. They shared a love that many will never know. With the support of his loving wife, he got his Associate of Science in Social Work from Vincennes University and went on to get his Bachelor and Master in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana. Russell planned on getting a job in social working helping those who had a hard time with addiction. Russell was a simple and loving husband, father, step-father, grandpa, and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. He is also survived by four sisters, Christine Neideitch of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel Coleman of PA, Camilla Shelton of Brownstown, IN, Angee Folsom of Greensburg, IN, 1 brother, Matthew Coleman of Cape Girardeau, MO, 1 step-brother, Steve Mize of Washington, IN, 1 step-sister Melissa Murray of Washington, IN. He had 2 step-children, Dana Steiner of Loogootee, IN, Dean Steiner, wife Vandora Steiner of Evansville, IN and their son Kaiden Steiner, who is the proud step-grandson of Russell. Russell is preceded in death by his parents, father Robert Coleman and mother Judy Mize, his step-father Doug Mize and a step-brother Doug Mize Jr. A memorial service will be held at the Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington, IN on Saturday July 23rd at 2:00pm. Visitation with friends and family will start at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the USI (University of Southern Indiana) foundation for the Russell Coleman Social Work Scholarship.
