Obituary
Robert A Morning Sr., age 73, of Washington, passed away at 9 AM on Sunday at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1937 in Monroe City to Robert W. and Frances M. (Johnson) Morning. He attended Petersburg Schools. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, having served his country for 20 years. He was a Police Chief for 10 years in Caddo mills, Texas. He was a member of the Washington, American Legion and VFW. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and a special friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Richardson) Morning whom he married on March 18 of 1971; four daughters and sons in-law, Sirenda Ann Morning and Ricky Lynn and Mike Jr. Ahlert all of Washington, Pansy Kay and Eric Michael Bakke of Wheatland, and Bobbie Korol of Chicago; four sons and daughters in-law, Robert Allen Jr. and Shelly Morning, Kenneth Morning, and James and Lisa Morning all of Washington, and Tim and Verne Morning of Petersburg; one sister Patricia Mount of Bridge Harbor, twelve grandchildren, Joseph Morning, Shane Michael Allen Cates (engaged to Brandee Wade), Allannna Lynn Morning, Chase Allen Morning, Trinity Loveless, Skyla Michelle Ahlert, Mersadie Morning, Shawn Michael Allen Morning, Johnny Wesley Morning, Alisha Morning, Hunter Morning and Marina Morning; four great grandchildren , Janessa Wagler-Morning, Lucas Riley-Smith, Alexus Morning, and Brooklyn Steinhart. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jerry Morning. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10 AM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Rev. Gary Morning officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary.
