Obituary

Jacqueline Ann Risch, 61, of Washington, passed away at 6:25 a.m., Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Jackie was born November 3, 1949 in Washington, the daughter of John and Kaye (Morris) Smith. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Williams Brothers Long Term Care Pharmacy for 11 years. Jackie was a member of the Lady Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, reading, and visiting with friends at the K of C. Jackie was devoted to her family and will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Christopher; daughters Jennifer Phariss (Kirk), of Grayslake, IL; Alison Risch, of Burlington, WA; Emily Risch, of Evansville, IN; grandsons Ryan Phariss, Samuel Phariss, and Henry Lundy; and brothers Russell Smith, of Tavira, Portugal and Steven Smith (Tammy) of Washington, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Mark Risch. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Ryan Hilderbrand as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday with a Wake service at 4 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
