Obituary

Billy G. Nowling, 75, of Plainville passed away at 7:05 p.m. Friday at his residence after a two year battle with colon cancer. Born September 2, 1933 in Daviess County, he was the son of Edgar and Irene (Risley) Nowling. He was a member of the Plainville Christian Church and retired from Boyd Grain. He was a gifted woodworker making many projects that will be cherished by his family for years to come. He also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Rita (Waskom) Nowling, whom he married October 13, 1970; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Becky Nowling of Plainville. Randy and Joni Albertson of Evansville, and Scott and Debbie Albertson of Plainville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Dots Wagler of Washington, Kim and Jay Armes of Montgomery, and Billie Sue Nowling of Petersburg; a brother, Eddie Nowling of Plainville; a sister Margaret Lou Berry of Plainville; 16 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Mark Nowling in 1958; and a sister, Marjorie Eaton. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Plainville Christian Church with Rev. Steve Baker and Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary and Tuesday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the Relay for Life.
