Obituary

Helen L. Doyle, age 77, of Montgomery, passed away at 6:04 AM on Wednesday at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born on November 30, 1933 in Daviess County to J. Albert and Catherine (Colvin) Gallagher. She graduated valedictorian in 1951 from Alfordsville High School and received the DAR Good Citizenship award. She retired in 1992 from NSWC Crane. She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church until it closed. While a member of St. Patrick she was a Eucharistic Minister, served on the Parish Council, and also served on the cemetery board. After the closing of St Patrick Church she became a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Ambrose J. Doyle, whom she married in 1952; two children, Thomas Doyle of Montgomery and Ann Warren of Indianapolis; a granddaughter that she and Ambrose raised, Tiffany (Lee) Robinson; two other grandchildren, Jason Warren of Evansville and Rachael Doyle of Washington; two great grandchildren, Emily Robinson and Conner Robinson both of Washington; one brother Tom Gallagher of Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Anna Fern Duncheon and Margaret Bullock. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow in Glenco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with a parish rosary at 4 pm. Condolences maybe sent online at www.edleemortuary.com
