Paul A. "Yogi" Waltz, age 87, of Washington, passed away on 1:40 PM on Saturday at Amber Manor in Petersburg. He was born on May 27, 1923 in Washington to Charles H. and Addie (Abel) Waltz. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a life time farmer. He farmed all his life and drove a truck for many years. He is survived by one daughter and son in-law, Linda and Charles Morris II of Nashville, Indiana; four sons and daughters in-law, Max and Paulette Waltz of Walton, Chris and Beth Waltz of Jasper, David and Terri Waltz of Petersburg, and Kevin and Susan Waltz of Terre Haute; thirteen grandchildren, Charles Morris III of Huston, Texas, William Morris II of Portland, Oregon, Shannon Terrell Of Middletown, Craig Waltz of Charlestown, Ashley Taulman of McCordsville, Eric Waltz of Bedford, Hilary waltz of Jasper, David Waltz Jr. of Corydon, Dustin Jenkins of Petersburg, Dexter Waltz of Petersburg, Hope waltz of Petersburg, Shelby Waltz of Petersburg, and Addie Waltz of Terre Haute; one sister, Margaret Morrison of Washington; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Wingfield) Waltz on November 3, 2008 whom he had married on September 14, 1943. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patricia Funk and Virgene Clinkenbeard; and two brothers, Delmar Waltz and Gerald Waltz A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Our lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Leo Kiesel as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary.
