Ziba Foote Graham, 95, a longtime resident of Washington, IN, currently living in Vero Beach FL. and Conway , MI., died peacefully at his home on the lake in MI. at 2:45 pm on Oct. 31. A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on Saturday, Nov. 6th at 1:30 p.m. with internment in the family plot at St. John's Cemetery . Visitation will be at the church from 10:00-12:00 preceding the service on Saturday. He was born in Evansville , IN. on August 21st 1915 to Robert Cabel and Bertha Hack Graham. After grammar school at St. Paul 's in Detroit Mi., he graduated from Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda MD. He then obtained his degree at the College of Holy Cross in Worcester Mass. Following this, he attended Harvard Business School in Boston. On Oct 7th, 1939 he married Winifred Ann Heekin of Cincinnati, Ohio. They resided in Washington for many years. During World War II he managed the family farms as his brothers were stationed overseas. He was treasurer of Graham Farms and manager of the Graham Cheese Corporation. Ziba also served as President and Chairman of the board of the Peoples National bank in Washington. From 1955 to 1957 he moved the family to Bal Harbour , Fla. where he and his father Robert C. Graham Sr. continued to develop the area. Ziba was also active in community affairs, he was a member of the Elks Club, the Rotary Club and the Knights of Columbus. He was particularly involved with the Washington Catholic Schools.. Ziba also was a member of several country clubs and yacht clubs. He was an avid sailor in northern Michigan where he frequently won the top honors in many races. His other keen interests, included his racehorses which he had from 1984 until the present time. Never was he more excited than when one would prove to be a winner. After the death of Win, he married Sally Dunlap, a longtime family friend, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Burt Lake MI. in 2001. Sally has shared his many interests as well. Known as "Papa" to his many grandchildren, he will always be remembered with great love and admiration.. He is survivied by his wife, Sally, five children: Ann Seng of Toledo, Ohio ; Ziba Jr (Cathy) of Tucson , AZ.; Cress Meier (Derek) of Grosse Pointe MI.; Emily Schoeny (Jeff) of Cincinnati , Ohio ; and John Graham (Peggy) of Indianapolis , IN. Also surviving are 2 stepchildren: Robin Dunlap and Cynthia Green. He has 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Ziba was preceded in death by his brother Robert C Graham Jr and a sister Bertha. His 2 younger brothers survive him, Tom Graham Sr. of Washington and David Graham of FL.
