Obituary

Perry W. Bays, 83, passed away in the early morning hours of May 5, 2025. He was born in Washington on April 20, 1942, the son of Wayne and Eleanor (Isaac) Bays.
After high school graduation, Perry served his country honorably in the United States Army. Later, he worked at Breidenbaugh Concrete Plant. Perry was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also an avid golfer and a member of the Elnora VFW.
Those who now mourn Perry's passing include his children: Kelly Foster of Newburgh, Robert Bays of English, Brenda Bays of Washington, and Dwayne (Katrina) Bays of Huntingburg. He also leaves four grandchildren: Diana, Doug, Brooke, Bailey, Logan, Bays and Steven Bays; and two siblings: Bonnie (Dave) Weihmeier and Lou (Ron) Kibler.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Eleanor Bays; brothers, John and Kenny Bays; and sister, Carol Mae Vertrees.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
