Joseph Andrew Pilk, 87, passed away the morning of December 27, 2024. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, September 26, 1937, the son of William "Andy" and Zora Rosell (Evans) Pilk.

Joseph worked at McCords in Washington for several years, and later retired from AristoKraft Cabinetry in Jasper where he worked in the maintenance department. He enjoyed gun collecting, playing cards, and had an avid interest in cars. He attended the Bible Missionary Church and was a member of Carpenters Union, Local 2930.

Those who now mourn Joseph's passing include his son, Quentin Pilk of Washington; grandchildren: Shayna (Josh) Wagler of Washington; Nikki (Brandon) Phillips of Washington; Shantelle Pilk of Washington; Keri Pilk of Jacksonville, Florida; and Tristan Lawson of Washington; and the mother of his children, Jean Waltz, of Washington. Joseph was blessed with nineteen great-grandchildren.

During his lifetime, Joseph grieved the loss of his father, Andy, and stepmother, Della Pilk; children: Debby Gilley, Connie Pilk-Gilley, Mark Pilk; and siblings: Paul Chadd, Betty Chadd, and Jerry Powel. His mother, Zora Pilk, also preceded him in death.
