Obituary

George Michael Limbach, Sr., 67, passed away at his Washington residence on July 16, 2022. He was born in Vincennes, September 14, 1954, to Lester John and Mary Rose (Grove) Limbach. On July 28, 1972, he married MaDonna J. (Orender) Limbach, and she survives.

George served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. After the Marines, he served an additional year in the Indiana National Guard. During his civilian life, he held many positions; most recently he was a lift operator for Perdue in Washington. He was a former member of the Eagles. George loved horses, and was an accomplished mechanic. It was well known he could work on anything that had an engine.

Those left to cherish George's memory include his wife, MaDonna J. Limbach; and his children: MaDonna R. Limbach; Laura (Dan) Batchelor; and George Michael (Lisa) Limbach, Jr. all of Washington. George was blessed with twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves four sisters: Rosemary McGuire of Bicknell; Susanna Majewski, Florida; Elizabeth Groves , Florida; Mary J. McBride, of Evansville; and a brother, John Limbach, Florida.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Rose and Lester John Limbach; sisters: Kathy Waggoner, Martha Limbach, and Linda Limbach.

Visitation for George Limbach, Sr., will be 1:00-3:00 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.

A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, at 3:00 pm. Yvonne Evans will officiate.

A United States Marine Corp Honor Guard will accord military honors at the conclusion of the memorial service.
