Obituary

Betty Jo Sullivan, age 94, of Washington, left her earthy home and entered her heavenly home on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis March 3, 1928, to Legora A. and Violet M. (Capehart) Raney.

Betty is survived by her son, Larry (Judy) Sullivan of Washington; four grandchildren: Marvin Sullivan, Jr., Stacy Sullivan Gerth, Shawn Sullivan, and Nicole Sullivan; six great-grandchildren; two step-granchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Betty leaves one sister, Vera (Dale) Shake of Washington.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Legora and Violet Raney; her husband, William (Toots) Sullivan; son, Marvin Ray Sullivan; grandson, Parish Wayne Sullivan; three sisters: Marjorie Fricke, Evelyn Lents, and Janice Mattis; and four brothers, Robert Raney, Ambrose Raney, Donald Raney, and Kenneth Raney.

Graveside services for Betty Jo Sullivan will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Sugarland Memory Gardens with Pastor Clarence Miller officiating. There will be no visitation.
