Obituary

Joyce Peek, 80, passed away January 22, 2022. She was born in Washington, Indiana, July 1, 1941, to John A. and Anna Catherine (Buzan) Baugh. On August 31, 1964, she married John B. Peek and they made their home together until his passing May 27, 2008.

Those who now miss Joyce and mourn her loss include: her children: Michele (Monte) Ackerman of Mobridge, South Dakota, and Kathy (Mark) Boynton of Lemmon, South Dakota. Joyce was blessed with three grandchildren: Matthew Ackerman, Marcus (Erin) Ackerman, and Kimberly (Nathan) McNaney. She had four great-grandchildren: Ethan John McNaney and Connor McNaney; and Emerie Ackerman and Asher Ackerman. Additionally, she leaves a sister, Joanne (Dude) Sullivan of Washington, as well as many other extended family members that Joyce dearly loved.

During her lifetime, Joyce sustained the passing of her parents, Anna Largen and John Baugh; her husband, John B. Peek, and brother, Jack Baugh.
