Karen Kellar, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was born in Sacramento, California, April 12, 1953, to Raymond and Esther (Carmichael) Terrell. In July of 1972, she married Frederick Brayton Kellar.

A high school graduate, Karen was retired from the Daviess Community Hospital where she was a cook. She loved gardening and doing yardwork, and was known to be an excellent baker - especially cakes and pies.

Those who now cherish Karen's memory include: her mother, Esther Terrell of Washington; her children, Gene Kellar in California, Raymond Kellar in Tennessee, Sam (Stacy) Kellar of Washington, Tammy Kellar of Washington, and George (Amy) Kellar of Washington. Karen had five stepchildren: Karen Racey of Washington; Frederick (Tammi) Kellar, Jr. of Washington; Cindy (Todd) Abrams in Kentucky; Cheryl Helderman in Washington; and Kathy Vanhorenbeck in Florida. Karen was blessed with five grandchildren: Thomas Kellar, Elizabeth Kellar, Addison Guthrie, Kelsey Kellar, and Kendall Kellar, as well as several step-grandchildren. There are several great-grandchildren surviving. She also leaves one brother, Edward Terrell in Alabama.

During her lifetime, Karen mourned the loss of her father, Raymond Terrell; husband, Frederick Brayton Kellar; infant son, James Kellar; and step-daughter, Caroline Messina.

Private services for Karen Kellar will be held at a later date.
