Jackie Wininger, 83, passed away at her Washington residence on December 13, 2021. Jackie was born in Plainville, Indiana, on September 12, 1938, to John and Opal (Sims) Petty. On October 17, 1959, she married Richard "Dick" Wininger. He preceded her in death.

Jackie was a long-time employee of the Washington Nursing Center. She was certified as a CNA and QMA. Jackie loved landscaping and doll making. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Those who now cherish Jackie's memory include: her sons, Alan Wininger and Artie (Melody) Wininger, both of Washington. Jackie was blessed with four grandchildren: Kale Matthew Wininger; Bailey Wininger; Lauren Wininger; and Zachary (Casey) Wininger. Coming from a large family, Jackie leaves several brothers and sisters: Margie (Doug) Taylor of Princeton; Patti (Steve) Halbert in Georgia; Connie Farren of Emison; Johnny (Judy) Petty of Washington; Gordon (Mabel) Petty of Oak Town; and Denny Petty of Washington.

During her lifetime, Jackie mourned the loss of her parents, John and Opal Petty; her husband, Richard; sons, Matthew Wininger and Mark Wininger; and sister, Marlene Brown.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jackie's memory to the Helping Hearts Hospice, 1314 East Walnut Street, Washington, Indiana 47501

Visitation for Jackie Wininger will be held 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana. Jackie's funeral will immediately follow the visitation, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, at 1:30 pm. Yvonne Evans will officiate.

Interment will be in the Sugarland Memory Gardens.
