Obituary

Lee Junior Carrico, 68, passed away at his Washington residence, September 3, 2021. He was born July 2, 1953, to Leona (Bogard) Carrico and Forrest Junior Carrico. On April 23, 1988, he married Jessica (Brothers) Carrico; she passed away June 1, 2020.

Lee had served honorably in the United States Army, and was retired from Perdue. He enjoyed playing cards, and loved old cowboy movies. He was a member of the Eagles.

Those left to cherish Lee's memory include his children, Kevin Lee Carrico of Huntingburg; Katherine Sue Gomez of Henderson, Kentucky; and Rickie Joe Shores of Emerson. Lee had eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. His niece, Suzy Harper, Washington, was his devoted caregiver. Additionally, he leaves behind two sisters, Ruth Ann Miller of Linton and Carol Sue Sells of Washington; and a brother, John Michael Carrico of Washington.

During his lifetime, Lee mourned the loss of his parents, Leona and Forrest Carrico, and his wife, Jessie.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Beulah Ame Church, 805 West Walnut Street in Washington.
