Rita M. Shake, 86, passed away at her daughter's residence, July 16, 2021 at 8:40 pm. Rita was born in Washington on May 3, 1935, to Emma (Wooten) and Cletis Summers.

Rita was retired from Taylor Oil.

Rita leaves behind her daughter, Carol A. (Brian) Christie of Washington, and a brother, George Summers of Washington. Rita had five grandchildren: Jennifer Christie (Shane Granger); Daniel (Ashley) Christie; Melissa Christie (Joe Musgrave); Jordan (Heather) Christie; and Shannon Christie. Additionally, Rita was blessed with eleven great-grandchildren.

Rita was preceded in death by her mother, Emma (Wooten) Ward, and her father, Cletis Summers; and two brothers, Jay Summers, and Hugh Summers.

Visitation for Rita Shake will be held, Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Ed Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 10:00 am-11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at the Sugarland Memory Gardens, Washington,. Yvonne Evans will officiate.
