Wilford "Bud" Buhr, age 83, of Washington, passed away at 5;29 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Washington Nursing Center. He was born on December 31, 1929 in Washington to Lawrence and Eathel (Workman) Buhr. He was a1948 graduate of Loogootee High School and was a US Navy Veteran. He owned and operated Standard Oil Bulk Plant for twenty five years and sold Agra Gold seed corn for over 25 years. He was a member of the Bethel South United Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Donna (Darrel) Webster of Washington and Glenda Robinson of Owensboro, Kentucky; two sons, Larry (Brenda) Buhr of Washington and Terry (Lynn) Buhr of Evansville; one sister, Susie (Klingle) Baxter of Dubois; six grandchildren; and sixteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara E. (Frye) Buhr on March 12, 2010, whom he married on December 26, 1948. He also was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Bethel North United Methodist Church with Rev officiating. There will be no visitation. Ed Lee Mortuary is handling arrangements.
