Obituary

Mary "Louise" Osmon, age 85, of Plainville, passed away at 11:03 PM on Sunday at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville. She was born on March 8, 1927 in Washington to Cletus and Laura Frances (Daily) Colvin. She was a 1945 graduate of Washington Catholic High School and had worked at Daily Furniture. She was a member of Our lady of Hope Catholic Church. She was a past member of St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Alter Society of Barr Township. She loved her Catholic faith. She assisted her husband as Steel Township Trustee. She spent many years at home on West Boggs Lake upon retirement before returning to Plainville. She is survived by four daughters, Jackie (John) Hancock of Bloomington, Janet Osmon of Odon, Lisa Osmon and Teresa (Terry) Ellis all of Washington; one sister, Wilma Brown of Loogootee; grandchildren JD (Andrea) Ellis, Kasey Ellis, Lynsey Osmon, Logan Stoll, Lacie McCord, and Sarah Hancock; and great grandchildren, Hannah Osmon and Blake Karns. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Osmon on August 23, 2011, whom she had married on February 24, 1952. She was also preceded in death by one brother Jack Osmon. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.edleemortuary.com
