John Richard Clark, age 81, of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Waters of Scottsburg in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on November 15, 1930 in Washington to John V. and Mayfair (Prather) Clark. He graduated from Washington High School in 1948 and from Vincennes University in 1950. He worked for Peoples Bank in Washington till moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1955. For the past several years he has split time between Phoenix, AZ and Washington, IN. He married Nancy (Weaver) Clark on August 9, 1953 and she preceded him in death on December 21, 2008. John is survived by a brother, Carl Clark of Mooresville, IN; nephew, Ervin Clark of Chico, CA; a niece, Nancy (Clark) Burnette of Greencastle, IN; nephew, William Clark of Franklin, IN; and several great nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Ed Lee Mortuary with Rev. Ken Wells officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. John will be returned to Phoenix, AZ to rest beside his loving wife.
