Harold Lloyd Killion, age, 85 of Washington, passed away June 27, 2015 at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born in Daviess County on May 16, 1930 to Mary (Mollie Davis) and Harley Killion Sr. Harold attended Glendale High school and joined the US Navy in 1947. He joined the US Army in 1952 during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant First Class and was wounded in the Battle of the Boomerang on June 24, 1953. For his service, he was awarded the Purple Heart (GO 47), Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. Harold worked for B & O, Hart Construction, O & A Maintenance, McCord''s, Self-Employed Contractor, and Killion Apartments. He was a member of Aikman Creek Baptist Church and served as Past Director of Pike County Bird Club. He trained and raised English Setter, breed dogs and has sold dogs to owners in several states and some foreign countries. Harold also raised beef cattle for many years; raised quail and enjoyed bird hunting, gardening and raising blackberries. He is survived by wife, W. Sue (Hart) Killion whom he married May 21, 1954 enjoying 61 years together, sons; Bill (Maria) Killion, Jim (Karen) Killion, Tom Killion all of Washington, grandchildren; Alisha (Blake) Buescher of Jamestown, IN and Stephen (Rachel) Killion of Chicago, IL, great-grandchildren; Bear Buescher and Elle Buescher, siblings; Donald (Ann) Killion of Plainville, Jerry Killion of Evansville, Joan Holstine of Plainville, Rosie Killion of Washington and Richard (Carol) Killion of Washington. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers; Harley Killion Jr., Hugh Killion, Lester Killion, David Killion, sisters; Sandra Kay Meade, Wanda Killion, grandsons, Michael Killion and an infant. Funeral services will be Thursday at Aikman Creek Church at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Ron Raymond and Floyd Jackson officiating. Burial to follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens with full military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be Wednesday at Aikman Creek Church from 4 - 8 pm.
