Obituary

Margie L. Dixon Patterson of Frankfort, formerly of Washington passed away on Saturday at Westley Manor in Frankfort. She was born on May 12, 1922 in Norfolk, Virginia to James Walter Dixon Sr. and Emmie Ila Pearce Dixon. On November 7, 1938 she married Rev. William Patterson and after 58 years of marriage he went to meet the Lord on January 4, 1997. Together she and her husband served churches at LaCrosse, Wanatah, San Pierre, Clinton, Brick Chapel, Union Chapel, Milan, Pierceville, Fountaintown, Springs Valley, French Lick, Mt Lebanon, Waveland, New Market, and Poseyville. Upon retirement, they moved to Washington. Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Grimm and her husband Bill of Clinton, Bonnie Cooper and her husband Phil of Muncie, and Deborah Chapman and her husband Jon of N. Augusta, South Carolina; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Washington. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee with Rev. Lennie Lawrence officiating. There will be no visitation.
