John L. Ochs, age 56, Montgomery passed away on Tuesday at 8:08 PM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Born December 14, 1950 in Washington he was the son of Jerry and Della (Delaney) Ochs. He was a graduated of Barr-Reeve in 1968, a U.S. Marine Corp Vietnam veteran, a member of UAW, and worked at Powertrain Division of General Motors in Bedford. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie (Taylor) Ochs, whom he married September 9, 1972; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Brandon and Lori Ochs of Springfield, TN and Brent and Darian Ochs of Bloomington; his mother, Della Ochs of Montgomery; three brothers, Don and Frank of Montgomery and Ron of Loogootee; two sisters, Mary Sue Wiscaver of Montgomery and Judy Eaton of Washington; three granddaughters, Leann Ochs of Springfield, TN and Olivia and Sydney Ochs of Bloomington. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Ochs who died January 10, 2005. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Montgomery.
