Karla Y. Martin age 55 of Washington passed away on Saturday at 7:56 PM at Jasper Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1952 in Washington to James Gilbert and Joy (Wininger) Floyd. She was a 1972 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. She had worked for 23 at Tokheim and the last several years along side her husband in Martin and Son Tree Trimming. She loved her family and animals. She also loved spending time nurturing her flower gardens and spending time with her best friend, her great niece Kayla Brooke White. She is survived by her loving sweetheart of more then 30 years, Art Martin whom she married on August 5, 1978; one daughter Sasha Autumn Martin of Evansville; one son Dustin Ryan Martin of Washington; one sister Patty Davis of Washington; two brothers, Sam Floyd and Rick Floyd both of Washington; and her best friend, her great niece Kayla Brooke White of Washington. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; and mother in-law Pauline Genevieve Vantlin. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating.
