Frances B. Jeffers, age 70, of Washington passed away on Sunday at 3:00 AM at Select Specialty Hospital in Bloomington. She was born on April 11,1936 in San Diego, California to the late Edward O. and Lola (Scott) Smith. She was a 1955 graduate of Rosedale High School and was a US Marine Veteran. She had worked for the Washington Housing Authority. Surviving are 3 sons and daughters-in-law, James and Janice Jeffers of Loogootee, Mark and Karen Jeffers of Washington, and Charles and Diana Orlea of Rockville, two brothers, George Smith of Monticello, Minnesota and Larry Smith of Bremerton, Washington, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John Jeffers on February 25, 1983 and two brothers, James Smith and John Smith. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Kris Beasley officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Ed Lee Mortuary.
