David J. Graber, age 98 of Montgomery, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning at his home. He was born on October 4, 1910 to Jacob and Fannie (Jones) Graber in Mylo, North Dakota, and lived and farmed there until he moved to Indiana in 1947. He was a Pastor of Berea Mennonite Church for 28 years, where he served the Lord faithfully. He is survived by five daughters Lily Mae (Amos) Wittmer, Betty Jean Raber , and Martha (Henry) Wittmer all of Montgomery, Marge (Ezra) Beachy and Fran (Darrell) Stoll all of Washington; four sons, Gary (Ada) Graber, Lowell (Maribeth) Graber, and Galen (Marilyn) Graber all of Montgomery, and John (Lucy) Graber of Elkhart; one brother, Toby Graber of Mylo , North Dakota; one sister, Mattie Slaubaugh of Sarasota, Florida; 24 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith (Slaubaugh) Graber on November 17, 2007 whom he was married to for over 75 years. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Joseph Graber, Nathaniel Graber, and Amos Graber; one sister, Amelia Slabauch: one grandson, Nelson Wittmer; one infant granddaughter; two sons in-law, Danny Raber and Dr. Richard Graber. The funeral services will be at 10AM on Thursday at Berea Mennonite Church with Ed Graber Shawn Otto, and Chris Raber officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the Berea Mennonite Church. Preferred memorials are to the Berea Mennonite Church Mission Fund, Mennonite Central Committee, or Gideon's Memorial Bible Fund. Arrangements are being handled by Ed Lee Mortuary.
