Obituary

Jacob Matthew Auberry age 27 of Washington departed this earth on November 21, 2007 to enter God's Kingdom. Jacob was born September 11, 1980 in Bloomington, Indiana to John P. and Sherry (McEvilly) Auberry. Jacob attended Washington Catholic Schools and Washington Community Schools. After attaining his GED he went on and continued his education at Vincennes University. He was employed in the family owned/operated business at Carpets Plus/Color Tile in Bloomington, Indiana. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his son, Gage with whom he loved playing video games, taking long walks, and watching movies. All those who knew and loved Jacob are sadly grieving his loss. Surviving are his parents, one son Gage Harrison Auberry of Washington; one sister, Chandra Brianne Auberry of Washington; one niece, Alexa Paige Auberry of Washington; paternal grandmother, Ruth C. Auberry of Washington; maternal grandparents, Thomas E. McEvilly of Washington and Mary Ann (McCormick) Dougherty of Bloomington; paternal aunts and uncles Daniel V. Auberry, Mary Anna (Auberry) Blubaum, Joe and Toni Auberry, Tim Auberry, Tony Auberry all of Washington, Richard and Cheryl Auberry of Florida, Terry and Sharon (Auberry) Gladish of Petersburg, and Kenny and Pam Auberry of Bicknell; maternal aunts and uncles, Thomas (Jeff) and Lori McEvilly of Danville, Michael and Shelly (McEvilly)Rice of Vilonia, Kelly and Diane McEvilly of Ellettsville, Kerry McEvilly of Ellettsville, Rodney and Dana (McEvilly) Miles of Washington, Scott and Anngie (McEvilly) Wyatt of Greenville, SC, Ty and Kim (McEvilly) Madison of Montgomery and Trevor and Kara (Dougherty) Mullis of Bloomington; and 36 cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather John V. Auberry and his uncle, Roger Blubaum. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary.
