William J. "Bill" Vest, age 50, of Petersburg, passed away at 10:25 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1948 in Morrison, Illinois to Harold James and Elsie Mae (Turner) Vest. He is survived by his wife, Ann (Nicholson) Vest whom he married on February 7, 1976; two daughters, Laura Vest and Amy Vest both of Petersburg; two sons, Billy James Vest and his fianc?e, Christie Showalter of Petersburg, and Joey James Vest and his wife Melissa of Princeton; three sisters, Debbie Vest of Washington, Brenda Sims of Florida, and Donna Nicholson of Vincennes; one brother, Larry Vest of Vincennes; and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington with Rev. Bill Malott officiating.
