William "Bill" Ray Davis, age 67, passed away at3:55 p.m. at his home in Washington, Indiana. He was born January 19, 1947 to Dorothy (Jones) and John H. Davis in Washington. He was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School and then Nashville Auto Diesel School. He was a self-employed truck driver for Wm. Davis Trucking, Inc. He also was a US Army Veteran. He belonged to Aikman Creek Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon. He also was a member of O.O.I.D.A. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved keeping busy. William is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann (Sharp) Davis whom he married November 29, 1969, two sons; John W. Davis and Donald A. (Mandy)Davis both of Washington, brothers; Jerry Lee (Pat) Davis , Michael (Cindy) Davis and a sister Cherie (Larry) Worley all of Washington, four grandchildren; Derek Davis, Dylan Davis, Daniel Davis, and Allie Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Rachel Davis. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Rev. Dan Gilley and Pastor Ron Raymond officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 pm Friday evening. Burial to follow in Aikman Creek Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
