Tonya S. Dougherty, age 53 formerly of Washington, passed away today at her residence. She was born October 20, 1961 in Washington to Carolyn (Richard) and Richard Watkins. She was a 1979 Washington High School graduate. She was a homemaker. She loved her dogs and crossword puzzles. Tonya is survived by her husband, Alan whom she married October 15, 1983, son, Sean Dougherty of Shelburn, her mother, Sue Watkins of Rockville, a sister, Teresa Stumpf of Rockville, stepson, Bill Dougherty of Washington, stepdaughters; Amanda Mosier of Lafayette, Sara Harvey and Megan Johnson both of Vincennes. She is preceded in death by her father. Memorial service will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary with Rev. Byron Holtsclaw officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Red Barn Rescue, 2109 N 75 E, Washington, IN 47501.
