Obituary for Timothy E. Smith
Tim E. Smith passed Saturday, April 6, 2019, at12:52 a.m. at the Daviess Community Hospital, Washington, Indiana.
He was born March 11, 1957, in Washington, Indiana, to Kenneth R. and Roberta A. (Arvin) Smith. He is survived by his Mother; brothers, Tony Smith and Terry Smith both of Washington, Indiana, and Troy (Amy) Smith of Phoenix, Arizona. There are several nieces and nephews: Taryn (Dan) Godo; Christina Smith of Evansville; Max Smith (fiancée Mandi) of Nashville, Tennessee; Morgan Smith (Goddaughter) of Washington, Indiana; Madeline and Olivia Smith of Phoenix, Arizona; Macie and Cloe Smith of Ellettsville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Kenny Smith and two sisters, Theresa Smith and Christina Ann Fitzpatrick.
Tim attended Rosemary Kennedy School, SPRED Religious Education Class, Hillcrest Special School, and Special Education Class at Washington High School. Tim started work at Red Door Industries in 1978 and continued until his death. He volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul, also. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
He loved music and dancing. He enjoyed going to the "Tim Tebow Foundation Night to Shine" for three years. Watching basketball, especially IU and the Pacers was a great pastime for Tim.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, 620 E Viola Avenue in Washington, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Washington, Indiana.
Memorial Donations may be given to St John Cemetery, 101 North Meridian Street, Washington, Indiana, 47501.
