Thomas F. “Tom” Brochin, age 75, went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Tom was born on September 17, 1950, in Connersville, Indiana, to the late Florence (Johnson) and Walter “Bud” Brochin. He was raised in Connersville, where he attended St. Gabriel Catholic School and later graduated from Connersville High School. During his younger years, Tom was known for his adventurous spirit—often riding his bicycle through the 12th Street neighborhood performing stunts—and for the many friendships he formed along the way. He also enjoyed working at Pizza King and Cavin’s Garage.
For the last 11 years Tom resided at Eastgate Manor in Washington, Indiana. A man of simple joys and steady faith, Tom attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church. He found happiness in life’s quieter moments, especially working on jigsaw puzzles and watching his favorite sports. He was an avid fan of basketball, WWE, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Cincinnati Reds. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his nephew, Andrew, attending local sporting events and sharing those special moments together.
Tom will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his brothers, Joe (Nancy) Brochin, Charlie (Mary) Brochin, and Jim Brochin, all of Connersville, Indiana, Mark (Patricia) Brochin of Washington, Indiana, and Bill (Linda) Brochin of Gilbert, South Carolina; his sister, Mary (Kenn) Coy of Bloomington, Indiana; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Walter “Bud” Brochin; his brother, David Brochin; his niece, Alexandra Coy; and his nephew, Chris Brochin.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Miller-Moster-Robbins Funeral Home, 1704 E. Grand Avenue, Connersville, Indiana, with Pastor Nick Pagano officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Gabriel School, 224 W. 9th Street, Connersville, Indiana 47331.
Tom will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
