Terry R. Evans, age 64, of Washington, passed away Monday morning, May 21, 2018 at Daviess Community Hospital.

He was born on October 17, 1953 in Washington to Donald and Nettie (Emmons) Evans. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1971 and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He owned and operated Evans Lawn Sweeper Service and enjoyed go-carts, old cars, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was a member of ABATE of Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Joan (Hayes) Evans, whom he married March 13, 1975; daughter, Stephanie (Josh) O'Brian of Washington; mother, Nettie Moore of Washington; stepmother, Martha Evans of Boonville; two grandchildren, Karli O'Brian and Kane O'Brian both of Washington; brother, Dennis Evans of Montgomery; half-brothers, Tom Evans and Jerry Evans, both of Boonville; Half-sisters, Janet Boucher of Garner, North Carolina and Jane Burkett of Spurgeon;

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Evans and step-father, Kenneth Moore.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Sean Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens with military gravesite rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
