Shirley A. Wininger, age 74 of Washington, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at 12:28 pm at Daviess Community Hospital. Shirley was born December 26, 1940 in Hampton, Virginia to Louise (Fisher) and Ernest Baxter. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Philip whom she married December 6, 1960, daughters; Shelly Grubb of Vincennes, Stephanie Bowman of Washington, Serena (Mike ) Erb of Franklin, Ohio, sons; Philip Wininger of Washington, Spencer "Craig" (Tyra) Wininger of Kansas, Wayne Wininger of Washington, Shannon (Lori) Wininger of Washington, Shane Wininger of Washington, Ernie (Marcee) Wininger of Washington, nineteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, sisters; Carolyn Woodall of Washington, Mary Mumma of Michigan, and Ginny Reister of Washington, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers; Gary Baxter and Robert Baxter, grandson, Loren Aldrich and a daughter-in-law, Susan Wininger. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with entombment following at Sugarland Memorial Gardens with Pastor Sandy Ivers officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 8 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary.
