Shirley A Waltz, age 92, of Washington, went to her heavenly home at 5:45 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
She was born on March 25, 1925 in Washington to Elmer and Blanche (Wuertz) Emmick.
She farmed right alongside her husband on the family farm north of Washington. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
She is survived by three daughters; Judi (Pat) Meade, Mary Jo Ann (Leo) Castello, and Elizabeth 'Beth' (Jim) Loyd all of Washington; one son Michael Waltz of Watseka, Illinois; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Waltz on January 2, 2009, whom she had married March 4, 1946. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick H. and Charles E. Waltz; one granddaughter, Brianna Waltz; three sisters, Venita McClellan, Ruby Lemmon, and Martha Moss; and two brothers, Jack and Junior Emmick.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
