Sandra J. Oberst, age 72, of Washington, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

She was born on April 17, 1945 in Washington to Joseph and Paula Carrico. She graduated from Washington High School in 1963. She enjoyed flower gardening, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, David (Katherine) Oberst of Plainville and James (Brenda) Oberst of Washington; four grandchildren, Matt Oberst, Garrison Oberst, Collin Oberst and Addison Oberst; special niece, Paula Kordes.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Paula Chestnut; father, Joe Carrico; husband, Richard Oberst, whom she married, July 26, 1964; grandson, John Jacob Oberst; twin sister, Helen Jeanette England; niece, Kathy Hauf.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Adam Conder officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
