Ruth York, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 3:47 pm at Hillside Manor Nursing Center in Washington. She was born April 24, 1930 to Eva (Fox) and Hillary Boyd. She was a Washington High School graduate and belonged to Veale Creek Baptist Church. Ruth is survived by sons; Terry (Shelly) York and Tim (Judi) York both of Washington; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Lee York on November 2, 1997 whom she married August 28, 1948. Funeral services were held Friday, January 16, 2015 at Ed Lee Mortuary with Jason Davis officiating. Burial followed in New Veale Creek Cemetery with Tim York, Terry York, Adam Rocket, Dick York, Mark Cline and Jerry Gottman serving as pallbearers.
