Ruth Ann Bailey (nee Quinn) died on October 20, 2019, in Tampa, Florida. She was born July 3, 1944, to Maurice Quinn and Ruth Kasting Quinn, (both deceased) in Seymour, Indiana. Ruth Ann attended Saint Ambrose Catholic elementary school and Seymour High School, graduating in 1962. Her university years were spent at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana and graduated in 1966 with a B.S. in Business Education. It was at Ball State that she met her future husband Stephen N. Bailey, who she married August 20 of that year. Her next several years were spent as an Air Force wife at DOWAFB Bangor, Maine and Ching Chuan Kang AB on Taiwan ROC. From there, she and her husband were transferred to MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, which would be their final posting. Ruth Ann then became very involved in the AAUW (American Association of Universities) until she was hired on and retired from the U.S. Postal Services. She bravely fought several illnesses until her death. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Stephen N. Bailey, son S. Nathaniel (his wife, Gillian) Bailey, and daughter Laura Ann Bailey.

There will be a luncheon in Ruth Ann's honor before the funeral at 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, 620 E. Viola St. Washington, IN. A visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. A memorial mass at 1:00 pm will follow at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, followed by the interment at St. John's Cemetery.
