Ruby Fordyce, age 91, of Washington, passed away at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday at Washington Nursing Center. She was born August 24, 1917 in Morgan County, Illinois to James A. and Lillie "Mae" (Lyel) Miller. She attended Concord Illinois Schools and was a member of the Concord Methodist Church. She is survived by one son and daughter in-law, Walter A. and Mary Kay Miller of Washington; five grandchildren, Michael Miller of Washington, Rick Miller of Texas, Lisa Duncan of Evansville, Karen Miller of Chicago, and Cathy Hill of Washington; seven great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren. Her husband, Delbert Fordyce, whom she married on March 2, 1940, died October 16, 1977. One brother, Roy Miller and three sisters, Lucille Engle, Opal Matthews, and Beulah McDonald are also deceased. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Phil Kessen and Father Lowell Will officiating.. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
