Royce R. Gray age 93 of Washington passed away on Sunday at 5:00 AM at Hillside Manor Nursing Home. He was born on May 19, 1915 in Daviess County to Roy and Ollie (Cole) Gray. He was a member of Washington First Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. Surviving are three daughters and sons in-law, Pauline and Bill Fisher, Sue Taylor, and Jane and John Roach all of Washington; two sons and daughter in-law, Joe and Betty Gray of Loogootee, and Steve Gray of Washington; one brother Ardith Gray of Washington; one sister Juanita Hoffman of Jasper; 19 Grandchildren; 33 Great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Fitzgerald) Gray on November 22, 1995, whom he had married on June 6, 1936; one son Paul 'Sonny' Gray; one daughter in-law Judith Gray; one son in-law William Taylor; three sisters, Georigia Lee, Fern Davis, and Mary Russell; seven brothers, Clifford Gray, Lowell Gray, Dennis Gray, Gene Gray, Dimple Gray, Morris Gray, and Bob Gray; One grandson, Michael Johnson; and one great grandson Michael Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Maury Brenneman officiating burial will be in New Veale Creek Cemetery.
